Planned in conjunction with Global Youth Service Day, Lafayette in Action 2018 seeks to build community through service and celebration and acknowledge the continued contributions of Lafayette's young people.
The event timeline is as follows:
**9:00-10:00 a.m. - On-site registration and kick-off breakfast (and Zumba) at Escuela Bilingüe Pioneer.
**10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. - Service projects at several schools and organizations throughout the community
**12:30-2:30 p.m. - Afternoon celebration at Pioneer, featuring student presentations and awards, live entertainment, children's activities, refreshments and a silent auction.

Lafayette in Action is brought to you by the Empowerment Center of East County with support from the following schools and organizations, which along with others will host service projects during the event: Angevine Middle School, Sanchez Elementary School, Confluence Small Business Collective, Foothills United Way, "I Have A Dream" Foundation of Boulder County, Sister Carmen Community Center, and Wildlands Restoration Volunteers.
